Absorbent - OILSORB filter is a vertically mounted filtering
element of round cross-section filled up with highly efficient absorbent having
absorbing capacity of 17 kg of oil per 1.0 kg of the absorbent.
The filters are mounted
and utilised after gravity separators of oil products and sludge in filter
wells used for purification of storm-water drainage and other effluent water
polluted by oil products in manufacturing plants, petrol filling stations,
car-washing units, bus parks, workshops, etc.
Owing to our
technology, filtering elements of different cross-section and height can be
made. This allows installing the filters in effluent wells of any size. The
filtering elements are made for two stages of purification process.
The first stage filter
is filled up with polypropylene and polyethylene filling agents to retain
suspended solids. These filters work very efficiently in oil traps whenever so
called heavy residual oil is used, as its specific weight is about 1.0 and it
won't hold onto water surface.
The second stage filter
is filled up with OILSORB absorbent. This filter is designed to retain oil
products and chemicals dissolved in water.
Effluents polluted by
oil products and chemicals, both surface wastewater and other water, after
complete purification as offered, have the following concentration indices of
purification:

Filtration capacity of
the designed equipment varies from 2 litre/sec to 30 litres/sec in terms of
purified water.

The filtering element
is made of strong plastic material. This allows, when replacing filtering
agent, to utilise the main body of filtering elements repeatedly, which reduces
costs of maintenance and replacements.
